Going monochrome is an intimidating feat. Do it wrong, and it could go costume-y. With the current minimal mood in fashion right now, monochrome seems like a logical extension. Classy denim-on-denim

The easiest way to do monochrome in blue is to put denim on denim. Adding a coat or jacket with sharp tailoring and heels are a good complement.

Go bold

If you’re going to try monochrome, why not do it with some punch? Monochrome in a bright, bold color is best for going out, maybe not an everyday look.

Mixing textures

This is the most important trick to monochrome dressing. Mix disparate textures like smooth leather, denim, soft knits, fur, and metals.
